International day winners at the 36th Aletsch Half Marathon
The 37th Aletsch Half Marathon took place in light drizzle, low temperatures and drifting fog. Around 2300 people took part in the run. The event provided countless exciting stories.

The 35th Aletsch Half Marathon is history
Congratulations to everyone who took part in the 35th Aletsch Half-Marathon. There were countless emotional moments over the weekend. We would like to thank the sponsors and helpers for their generous support before and during the event. We consider it a great pleasure and privilege to organise and put on future Aletsch Half Marathons together with you.
Honorary competitor: Didier Défago, Olympic downhill champion
The former skier Didier Défago is an honorary competitor at the 35th World Ski Championships. Aletsch Half-Marathon. His greatest success was winning the downhill gold medal at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada. He is also the winner of the Lauberhorn downhill and the Streif in Kitzbühel. He currently works as a ski-run builder and is president of the Association of Valais Mountain Railways.

The board and management have decided to cancel the 35th Aletsch Half-Marathon on 21 June and the Saturday races on 20 June 2020.
