Here is some useful information about the two training weekends

“ALETSCH” TRAINING WEEKEND

Period: 16–18 August 2019 in the Aletsch Arena

PROGRAMME:

Friday, 16 August 2019 – Arrival

  • Individual arrival and room allocation
  • 6.30pm Greeting and information
  • 7.30pm Dinner together

Saturday, 17 August 2019 – Visit Riederalp - Bettmerhorn route section

  • 8.30am Meet at Talstation Bettmeralp and drop off luggage
  • 8.45am Start to Riederalp
  • 9.40am Meet at Riederalp
  • 10.00am Depart in three running groups
  • 13.00pm Arrive at Bettmerhorn
  • 13.45pm Lunch at Restaurant Bettmerhorn
  • 15.30pm Leave Bettmerhorn
  • 16.00pm Arrive at Bettmeralp
  • 18.00pm Q&A session
  • 19.00pm Dinner togehter

Sunday, 18 August 2019 – Relaxed run on the actual race route: Bettmeralp - Riederalp incl. "around the Riederhorn"

  • 8.45am Meet at Bergstation Bettmeralp
  • 9.00am Begin run to Bettmersee
  • 11.00am Arrive at Riederalp
  • 11.30pm Depart to Bettmeralp - Arrive at 12.15pm
  • Participants then make their own way home

The “Aletsch” training weekend is available to book in the following packages: “World Heritage” Package and “Jungfrau” Package

 

RUNNING GROUP ALLOCATION

  • Group A Aletsch Half-Marathon  under 3:00 > Marathon time under 4:00
  • Group B Aletsch Half-Marathon 3:00 – 3.45 > Marathon time 4.00 to 4.30
  • Group C Aletsch Half-Marathon  3:45 – 4.30 > Marathon time 4:30 – 5:00

 

GENERAL INFORMATION

  • Accompanied by trainers from All Blacks Thun
  • Number of participants: max. 100 participants per training weekend

“JUNGFRAU” TRAINING WEEKEND

Period: 7–9 June 2019 in the Jungfrau region

PROGRAMME:

Friday, 7 June 2019 – Arrival

  • Individual arrival and room allocation
  • 6.30pm Greeting and information

Saturday, 8 June 2019 – Visit Lauterbrunnen – Kleine Scheidegg route section

  • 8.40am Gather at the meeting point at Interlaken Ost railway station and drop off luggage for transport to Kleine Scheidegg
  • 9.05am Train leaves – arrives in Lauterbrunnen at 9:25am
  • 9.40am Meet at parking lot – group allocation
  • 9.50am Depart in three running groups
  • 1pm Arrive
  • 1.45pm Lunch at Kleine Scheidegg
  • 3.03pm Leave Kleine Scheidegg
  • 4.23pm Arrive at Interlaken Ost
  • 6.00pm Q&A session
  • 7pm Dinner together

Sunday, 9 June 2019 – Relaxed run on the actual race route: Interlaken Ost – Lauterbrunnen

  • 8.40am Meet at Interlaken Ost and drop off luggage
  • 9.00am Begin run to Lauterbrunnen via Bönigen, Wilderswil and Zweilütschinen
  • 11.00am Arrive at parking lot in Lauterbrunnen
  • 12.02pm Depart for Interlaken Ost – Arrive at 12.23pm
  • Participants then make their own way home

RUNNING GROUP ALLOCATION

  • Group A Jungfrau Marathon under 5:00 > Marathon time under 4:00 Route approx. 23km
  • Group B Jungfrau Marathon 5:00 – 5.45 > Marathon time 4.00 to 4.30 Route approx.19 km
  • Group C Jungfrau Marathon 5:45 – 6.30 > Marathon time 4:30 – 5:00 Route approx. 17 km
