Cancellation of Aletsch Half-Marathon 2021

Dear Runners and Friends of the Aletsch Half-Marathon,

Given the current circumstances surrounding COVID-19, we have made the decision to postpone the Aletsch Half-Marathon until 19 June 2022.

The organising committee has examined various scenarios and safety concepts. Regrettably, however, we cannot make plans or organise anything with any certainty. And with the authorities unable to offer us any clarity either, this decision is forced upon us.

We are devastated to have to postpone the race for the second time. Nevertheless, we would still like to offer you a real-world running experience during this difficult time.

All runners registered for the 2020 and 2021 are eligible for 2022. However, they also have the option of claiming back the entry fee they paid, minus CHF 10 handling costs, until the end of October 2021. It is still possible to transfer the starting place to someone else.

Please be assured that we’re not about to lose heart and will continue to pour all our passion into the Aletsch Half-Marathon. We look forward to holding next year’s race weekend on 18–19 June 2022. Stay well and keep on training,
