Two beautiful running adventures in a magnificent mountain setting

The Aletsch Half-Marathon and the Jungfrau Marathon are among the most popular mountain running events in Europe. Both lead through the stunning natural landscape of the UNESCO Swiss Alps Jungfrau Aletsch World Heritage Site. Starting this year, you can experience both of these running classics as part of the UNESCO World Heritage Trophy.

The objective behind the trophy is to showcase the unique and unspoilt nature of the region.

A special starter pack is available for anyone who would like to take part in both races. As well as your start numbers, the pack offers you the option of taking part in two training weekends in the respective mountain areas. The “Jungfrau” and “Aletsch” training packages combine race preparation with a chance to get to know the route and are supervised by trainers from the All Blacks Thun running club. Runners will also be able to offset their carbon footprints during the two training weekends.
All participants in the UNESCO World Heritage Trophy receive start numbers for both running events as well as information about competition preparation and recovery. They are also informed about sustainability at the UNESCO Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch World Heritage Site.
